A target is now the start of a governed operating cycle.

Version 2.0 connects target setting with implementation, annual reporting and an end-of-cycle assessment. The company then uses the latest information to begin the next target cycle.

Transition dates

  1. V2.0 published

    The final Corporate Net-Zero Standard Version 2.0 was released.

  2. V2.0 validation opens

    SBTi Services begins accepting submissions against Version 2.0.

  3. V1.3.1 submissions close

    Final day for eligible new submissions using Version 1.3.1.

  4. V2.0 becomes mandatory

    All submitting companies must use Version 2.0 from this date.

Which rules apply to your company?

Category A and B use different minimum requirements. This calculator implements the complete threshold structure rather than relying on turnover alone.

Prepare the inputs first

  • Use consolidated figures for the corporate group.
  • Use averages from the two latest financial statements.
  • Convert financial figures into euros using the required rate.
  • Geography follows the ultimate parent's jurisdiction of incorporation.
