* Scope 3 boundary · This well-to-tank factor is a separate upstream-fuel component of Scope 3 Category 6 business travel. Add it to the matching direct Scope 3 Category 6 rail factor when reporting both direct and well-to-tank emissions. Use the same passenger-kilometres and rail mode for both records. Category 3 applies instead when the reporting organisation purchases the fuel or energy for its own operations.
